Metew means "the newcomer" in Amharic.

Two young men land in Canada on the same day, and they share the same name. At the airport each is met by a family he has never seen before, and in the rush of arrivals each one leaves with the wrong family.

The mix-up should be easy to fix. Instead, each newcomer starts a new life inside a household that was waiting for someone else, and the families have to decide what they owe to a stranger who has suddenly become one of their own.
